Citygate facilitated sessions to focus the Corpus Christi City Council on positive communication skills; relationship building; strengthening trust; creating a culture of collaboration; strengthening team understanding; reinforcing organizational values, norms, and strategic direction; and identifying policy and project priorities. The session included Rules of Decorum and also set priorities for the first year of a two-year term. Citygate conducted confidential, one-on-one virtual interviews with Council members in addition to facilitation of the group retreat. Through teambuilding activities, exploration of work and management styles and personal values, and enhanced internal and external communication skills and tools, Citygate helped City leadership to foster a positive, supportive, and forward-thinking approach and provided a strategic priorities template for the City’s use.

Scope of work: An assessment of the Corpus Christi Animal Care Services Department to determine any issues that may limit effectiveness of operations and administration. The assessment includes an evaluation of the CCACS facility and the Department’s building needs; review of documents, policies and procedures, and operations; and incorporation of staff interviews and stakeholder input. The assessment also includes a review of the CCACS business model and the efficiency of policies, procedures, workflow, and animal flow in all Animal Care Services divisions—including but not limited to Administration, Field Operations, Investigation, Kennels, Live Release, and the Veterinary Clinic. Length of stay and capacity of care as well as euthanasia policy will be evaluated. The assessment includes a market pay analysis for positions in the Department.
