Emerald Bay Service District, CA

Citygate assisted the Emerald Bay Service District residents committee with wildfire mitigation planning to assess the feasibility of several wildfire mitigation and community preparedness options. Citygate helped the District to understand its options within a regulatory framework, as well as the multiple agencies that could be involved. As Citygate was also concurrently a planning consultant to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), OCFA agreed with Citygate simultaneously assisting the District, with the understanding that Citygate would provide recommendations to the District consistent with OCFA’s applicable regulatory positions for wildfire mitigation and response in and around the unincorporated areas of Emerald Bay.
