Client:
University of Central Missouri
Project:
Citygate conducted a Management and Operational Study for the University of Central Missouri Department of Public Safety, including a thorough, independent, and objective analysis of the UCM’s current organization, leadership structure, operations, deployment, and staffing levels. The assessment culminated in a Final Report that will serve as a foundation for future planning, budgeting, and decision-making, ensuring the continued provision of efficient and effective police services to meet the needs and expectations of the University. For this engagement, Citygate performed objective and data-driven analysis to provide UCM with recommendations guided by established industry standards and best practices, culminating in a review that serves as both (1) a credible and transparent basis for future university leadership dialogue, and (2) a foundational blueprint for UCM to assess leadership, maximize efficiency, and best utilize personnel and other resources. Through the course of this engagement, Citygate identified planned service delivery systems and staffing levels which best empower UCM to ensure adequate service levels, improve morale, and bolster operational effectiveness—consistent with UCM’s values of community, diversity, excellence, learning, opportunity, and service. Citygate also provided recommendations that are phased, scalable, tailored to UCM’s financial reality, and organized by short-term, mid-term, and long-term priority—including suggested implementation steps.
