With over 33 years of experience in the fire service, Chief Samuels has an extensive background in both line and management functions. Throughout the course of his career, he served at every rank in the Corona Fire Department: Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Chief. As a line officer, he had the opportunity to respond to many incidents, operating at both a tactical and strategic level. As a staff officer, Mr. Samuels served as the Emergency Medical Services Chief and Deputy Fire Chief. His experience includes management of budgeting processes, discipline and labor relations, and oversight of the Training Division, EMS Division, Facilities, Communications, and Fleet. Chief Samuels is a motivated, educated, and experienced problem-solver who is passionate about the fire service.
